Wal-Mart Generic Prescription Program
Wal-Mart has recently announced $4 generic prescriptions
to its
pharmacy customers!  With most insurance plans offering
generic drugs at $10 or more it may make sense to save on

Health Care Cost Climb 7.4%
The typical U.S. family of four will spend a total of $15,609 on medical care
this year for doctor bills, hospital bills and payments for prescription drugs.
This figure represents an incline of 7.6 percent since last year, actuarial
firm Milliman Inc., Seattle reports.

Findings indicate that, on average, a family of four who are covered by an
employer-sponsored preferred provider plan will spend about $2,675 on co-
payments, deductibles and other out-of-pocket health care costs, and about
$3,492 on premium payments.

Although this increase in average cost represents a decline from 8.4
percent a year ago, researchers estimate that the personal expenditures on
premium payments and out-of-pocket health care costs have climbed about
11 percent.

The researchers looked at 14 metropolitan areas and assumed the family
would have an annual in-network deductible of $366, according to reports.

Finally, it is reported that he typical family’s health care costs in the most
expensive market, Miami, are about 35 percent higher than the costs in the
least expensive market, Phoenix.
